Comarco Inc. reported a loss of $10 million for the second quarter of its 1988 fiscal year, contrasted with earnings of $492,000 in the same quarter a year ago. Revenues for the quarter ended Aug. 2 declined 3% to $18.4 million from $19 million in the year-ago period.
For the first half of fiscal 1988, the Anaheim-based defense contractor reported a loss of $9.8 million, contrasted with net income of $1.1 million in the first six months of 1987. Revenues totaled $39.1 million, up 6% from $36.8 million in the year-earlier period.
Comarco, which announced in July that it expected a second-quarter loss, attributed the deficit primarily to write-downs involving recent acquisitions and new divisions and to discontinued operations.
