Santa Ana-based Gish Biomedical Inc., a manufacturer of surgical and critical-care devices, reported earnings of $667,000 for the year ended June 30, contrasted with a mere $900 a year earlier. Fiscal 1987 revenues rose 35% to $9.7 million from $7.2 million a year ago.
Earnings for the fourth quarter were $217,000, down 23% from $283,000 in the final quarter of fiscal 1986. Quarterly revenues rose 22% to $2.7 million from $2.2 million.
Chairman Jack Brown attributed the earnings improvement to “the successful culmination of our five-year product development program. . . . We are well positioned in the marketplace and our future growth will come from increased market penetration, new product development and acquisitions.”
