Local News in Brief : Suspect in Shooting Faces Murder Count

A woman suspected of shooting another woman in the head after an argument in Pacoima was arrested on suspicion of murder after the victim died a day later, Los Angeles police said on Monday.
Sonia Boozer of Pacoima died at 4 p.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Hospital, 20 hours after she was shot by Paula Allen, 23, of Pacoima, Lt. Bernard D. Conine said. The women apparently had been arguing about a male acquaintance when the shooting occurred at 13014 Carl St., Conine said.
Conine said Allen, who had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Friday, was arrested again on suspicion of murder following Boozer’s death.
