Los Angeles police were seeking a mother who abandoned her infant in a stranger’s car in North Hollywood just hours after she gave birth. The unidentified male infant was taken to Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles for observation and was in good condition, Detective Lou Berman said, adding that the county Department of Children’s Services will take custody. Kirk Arrington, 23, of San Fernando, found the newborn lying on a pillow in the back seat of his unlocked car parked near Weddington Street and Blakeslee Avenue, Berman said.
