Senators’ Votes on ‘Star Wars’ Cut

WASHINGTON — Here is the 51-50 vote by which the Senate on Tuesday refused a deep cut in the budget for President Reagan’s “Star Wars” program.
On this vote, a “yes” or for vote was in support of the program; a “no” or against vote was in favor of the reduction. The senators split 50 to 50; Vice President George Bush, as president of the Senate, broke the tie with a “yes” vote.
