State Coastal Commission
After reading the excellent and informative article by Stewart and Taylor, one must come to the conclusion that there are many, many things the commissioners are doing that, if not illegal, certainly are unethical.
One of the witnesses in the Iran- contra hearings said that he got out, because there was “a certain odor” to the money.
If that money had an odor to it, this money--money that is generated by the Coastal Commission--has a smell that would knock a buzzard off a manure pile at 50 paces! (Assembly Speaker) Willie Brown, don’t you smell it? (Senate President Pro Tem) David Roberti, don’t you smell it? I believe your constituents do.
