A scheduled congressional hearing today in Washington on minorities in the entertainment industry has been postponed because of difficulties in scheduling appearances by those invited to testify. Larry Irving, chief counsel for the House telecommunications subcommittee headed by Rep. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), said the subcommittee’s hearing will be rescheduled “at the earliest available time.” The subcommittee is considering bills on equal employment and minority radio and TV station ownership policies of the Federal Communications Commission. The proposed measures were introduced by Rep. Cardiss Collins (D-Ill.) and Rep. Mickey Leland (D-Tex.).
