Always eager to set the record straight, Tammy Faye Bakker said Wednesday she will release a record and embark on a concert tour--all with an eye toward telling “the truth” about the PTL scandal. The album (scheduled for release in October) is titled “Farewell for Now,” and it features “The Ballad of Jim and Tammy,” a tune Bakker said has “cute and sad” lyrics sung to the melody of Tom T. Hall’s “Harper Valley PTA.” Bakker added that she got Hall’s permission to use the tune.
