Trust Services of America agreed to buy Ahmanson’s trust unit. The deal would give Trust Services, a unit of CalFed Inc. of Los Angeles, the $1.3-billion investment management and employee benefit portfolio managed by Ahmanson Trust Co. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Trust Services currently has an asset management portfolio of $6.4 billion. The acquisition is expected to become final in two months.
