Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc. announced that Martin M. Kalkstein has been appointed president and chief executive of the company’s Broadway-Southwest division, based in Phoenix, succeeding Robert Mang, who has resigned. Kalkstein was executive vice president-merchandising of Carter Hawley Hale’s Broadway-Southern California.
