The new Neil Simon musical, “A Foggy Day,” which had been scheduled to open at the Old Globe Theatre on April 6, has been postponed indefinitely.
Simon realized the show needed more work after a reading in New York last weekend, according to Old Globe artistic director Jack O’Brien. The piece is set to music by George and Ira Gershwin.
No replacement has been slated on the Old Globe spring schedule, O’Brien said, although four new plays are under consideration. An announcement of the replacement may be made next week.
