‘N Word Should Be Odious From Anyone’

Fairchild takes to task singer Michael Jackson and TV-talk show host Oprah Winfrey, among other black role models, for “de-Africanizing” their appearances through colored contact lenses, hair-style modifications and other cosmetic means.
As a Caucasian born with kinky hair and hazel eyes, I regularly have the hair straightened because I want hair that I can comb, and I sometimes wear blue contacts because it’s fun and I like blue eyes. I was just thinking that maybe blacks do these things for the same reason, and that there really isn’t anything more to it than that.
