ORANGE COUNTY PREP FOOTBALL : Los Alamitos Runs Over Gahr, 42-0

Many expect Los Alamitos High School to challenge for the Empire League title this season, and after their 42-0 victory over Gahr Friday, the Griffins appear ready for league play in two weeks.
Marcus Garcia led a powerful Los Alamitos ground attack. He gained 135 yards in 17 carries, including a one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
The Griffins (2-1) also had one-yard scoring runs by Gabe Arnold and Frank Becton to open a 21-0 lead midway through the second quarter.
Los Alamitos quarterback Todd Gragnano completed 7 of 11 passes for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 39-yarder to Jon Cisneros and a nine-yarder to Todd Welch. Cisneros caught 6 passes for 95 yards.
Los Alamitos’ defense dominated the Gladiators (0-3), limiting them to just 29 net yards in the first half and 93 yards on the game.
Don Lee replaced Todd Stott as Gahr’s quarterback in the third quarter and drove the team to the Los Alamitos 20, but penalties stalled the drive.
Griffin running back Dave Silverman added a three-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for the final score.
