MICHAEL’S MAGIC
One of the reasons I love Michael Jackson is that he just bugs the beejeebers out of so many people.
I also love his ability to reach way past the mundane into the magical.
In his world, a ghetto kid can attend a private school, then come back home and convince his gang-hood brothers that they were victimizing themselves. Michael didn’t mean for James Terry of Van Nuys (Saturday Letters, Sept. 5) to try it the next time he was in a New York subway. The “Bad” video was a fantasy.
Anyone who looks for anything ordinary about Michael Jackson is engaging in a futile search.
