Been to Copala

We certainly enjoyed Jerry Hulse’s well-written article of Aug. 23 on Copala, Mexico, as well as the photographs. We have visited this little town yearly for eight years and feel that Jerry caught the feeling of peacefulness and harmony that is there, yet correctly cautioning that its extreme quietness is not for everyone.
John Huston’s classic, “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre,” starring Humphrey Bogart, was made in that area. About halfway up the mountain road to Copala one can see the ruins of one of Huston’s movie sets.
