Sending the Literary Brats Packing

Your staff writer comparing “stars” Jay McInerney, Bret Easton Ellis, David Leavitt and Tama Janowitz to such authors as Norman Mailer, William Styron, John Updike and Philip Roth was shocking.
Having read all of these “pop” authors, I believe a more appropriate comparison would be to Dopey, Sneezy, Sleepy and--well, name your own dwarf.
