Irony Seen in Displacement
It is ironic that these people should be displaced from West Hollywood because we, the citizens of this city, would not have wanted that. Once again, the West Hollywood City Council failed the citizens of this city and they have embarrassed us--we should have done everything we could to have facilitated these people and their particular needs--the city didn’t know what to do, so, like the deer who is hit by car lights on a dark road, they chose to do nothing--and of course, the result is disastrous. The City of West Hollywood needs a City Council who can take charge and make a decision--not a bunch of people who do nothing but appoint a task force to study the issues--and then, of course, nothing ever is accomplished.
