The 2nd Tokyo International Film Festival opened on Friday with 176 films from around the world ready to roll, including director Brian De Palma’s “The Untouchables” and the latest James Bond release, “The Living Daylights,” starring Timothy Dalton. Fourteen films from as many countries are entered in the main Grand Prix competition, styled after the Cannes Festival. Secondary awards include special jury prize, best director, actor, actress, screenplay and artistic contribution. Gregory Peck chairs the festival jury.
