A small spill from an overturned pesticide truck involved in a collision forced authorities to close a section of Brookhurst Street in Westminster for about an hour Sunday night.
A hazardous materials team was called to the scene, in the 15000 block of Brookhurst, between McFadden and Bolsa Avenues, about 6:52 p.m., where five gallons of the garden spray known as Durban had spilled from an exterminator’s pickup truck, said Fire Department Battalion Chief Hal Raphael.
Details of the collision were not immediately unavailable, but Raphael said the truck driver was hospitalized for observation.
