TransTechnology Receives $13-Million Military Order

TransTechnology has received a $13.2 million order from the Department of Defense for chaff cartridges, tiny metal strips of metal that are dropped from aircraft to confuse enemy radar. The order raises the Sherman Oaks firm’s order backlog to a record of $110 million, company Chairman Arch C. Scurlock said.
