The body of a man clad only in a plaid shirt was found floating in the surf at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades early Monday.
Lifeguards at the beach said the unidentified man may have been a transient and appeared to have been dead between 12 and 24 hours.
No drownings or missing swimmers have been reported recently, so officials have no clue to the man’s identity, Lifeguard Jon Moryl said.
