Local News in Brief : Homeless Plan March

A group of homeless protesters rested Monday in a park overlooking the Pacific Ocean and made plans to march to neighboring Venice this morning to recruit more homeless people to publicize their plight.
The “trek for justice” grew to 40 marchers, 10 more than set out after a temporary campground in downtown Los Angeles was closed Friday, group spokesman Mike Neely said. “Because of the publicity, some of the people from the camp have joined up with us in solidarity,” Neely said.
