Demonstrations by Operation Rescue

As a long-time admirer of Chief Gates, I was surprised and offended that he would call pro-life demonstrators “willful children, having tantrums.” These people have deeply held beliefs about the sanctity of human life and they are out there to save some lives, perhaps getting arrested for their trouble. Are the people who demonstrate about nuclear arms or steal animals from experimental labs denigrated this way?
