Local News in Brief : Film Producer Hurt in Fall From Horse

Movie producer Jerry Weintraub fell from his horse while riding on the beach near his Malibu home, suffering a mild concussion but emerging without any broken bones, his publicist said.
Weintraub was wearing a neck brace at his Westwood office Thursday, spokesman Paul Bloch said.
“He was galloping his horse Tuesday on the beach and the strap on the saddle became loose and he fell on his head,” Bloch said, adding that Weintraub was treated for a mild concussion but was otherwise unscathed.
Weintraub’s latest film is the critically panned “Troop Beverly Hills.” He is working on “Karate Kid III,” Bloch said.
