Los Angeles police are looking for a 77-year-old woman who was reported missing from a senior citizen day-care center in Sunland-Tujunga this week.
Lenore Jones, who suffers from memory loss, had been visiting the Canyon Senior Adult Day Care Center in the 7900 block of Foothill Boulevard when a worker reported her missing about 1 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Jones, who lives in a board-and-care home in North Hollywood, visits the center daily as part of a social activities program.
Authorities said the woman is on medication for high blood pressure and is generally in poor health.
Los Angeles Police Detective Philip Anninos of the Missing Persons Division said that photos of the woman have been distributed to officers and that police are continually checking with the coroner’s office, as well as all major hospitals for any information on Jones.
Jones is described as white, with red hair and blue eyes, is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She was wearing beige pants, a white blouse, a pink sweater and blue slippers.
