Los Angeles police were seeking a 24-year-old Van Nuys man as a suspect in the shotgun slaying of a Sherman Oaks man, authorities said Friday.
Francisco Iniguez, 19, was hit with several shotgun blasts during a dispute in the 8000 block of Wilkinson Avenue near Strathern Park in Sun Valley about 10:15 p.m. Thursday, Detective Mike Coffey said.
Iniguez was taken to Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Panorama City where he was pronounced dead. Coffey said detectives learned from witnesses that Iniguez had argued with Fidel Gaytan, an acquaintance of Iniguez’ girlfriend.
Gaytan opened fire on Iniguez and fled, Coffey said.
