Trash Pickup Tax

I wish to set the record straight about the trash pickup tax in Huntington Beach. It was recently imposed on all owner-occupied dwellings. The tax is not a deductible expense on your federal or state income tax return if the home is owner-occupied.
Efforts have been made to justify the tax on homeowners by erroneously stating that the tax is a deductible expense. Unfortunately, once taxes are in place, they don’t remain the same but become a convenient source of additional revenue.
