Quake Danger
We have witnessed a tragedy in which one person has been crushed when a portion of a warehouse rack collapsed, dumping a pile of lumber.
Consider the warehouse stores which are full of high-rise racks: Has anyone who has walked through one of them stopped to consider what is going to happen to all that massive merchandise when even a moderate earthquake strikes?
To add to the tragedy, many of the non-warehouse stores are imitating this high-rise inventory storage method.
I am very uneasy in those stores, and I think everyone else in them should be uneasy as well.
Do we have to wait for hundreds of severe injuries and deaths to do something about them?
