Cool Reaction to ‘Hot Property’

I have been a strong enthusiast of the Real Estate Section of the Los Angeles Times for the past 25 years. I felt that it has always exhibited a very high degree of professionalism and good taste.
However, I have always been perplexed by the “Hot Property” feature. This is the kind of news that belongs in the entertainment section or somewhere else!
I feel there is much more going on in this Greater Los Angeles area that is more newsworthy than these kinds of articles. If you need to have a “Hot Property” article why not put it in some obscure page next to “People on the Move” or “Letters to the Editor.” How could it possibly warrant front-page coverage in your prestigious Real Estate Section?
