Numerous celebrities from across the country offered taped congratulations as the 1,000th “Hour of Power” worship services aired Sunday from Garden Grove. Mother Teresa, Coretta Scott King, Sammy Davis Jr., Bob Hope and former presidents Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan were among those seen on the pre-taped religious program. The Rev. Robert H. Schuller’s TV ministry is seen across the United States and in 22 countries in Europe.
