Gunman Forces Way Into Home, Shoots Man

A 22-year old man was in fair condition at Mercy Hospital on Tuesday after being shot in the neck at close range, San Diego police said.
Carlos Ochoa, 22, was sitting in a kitchen in the 2400 block of Broadway with several friends when a man armed with a revolver forced his way through a rear door, police said. As his friends tried to escape, Ochoa was shot once in the neck.
He was taken to Mercy by paramedics about 11:50 p.m. Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
