Local : Pasadena Girl, 2, Shot to Death

A 2-year-old Pasadena girl was shot and killed when the station wagon in which she was riding with her grandmother and several other children was fired upon Tuesday evening in Rubidoux, authorities said today. They said the motive was unclear.

Karina Cherise Williams was pronounced dead at Riverside Community Hospital shortly after the 8:15 p.m. shooting, said Lt. Nick Padilla of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. He said several shots were fired at two vehicles carrying eight adults and four children in the same party. The attack occurred less than a block from a home where the girl and her grandmother had visited relatives.
