A woman who insists she is David Letterman’s wife has been ruled incompetent to stand trial on charges of breaking into his home. The ruling by a Superior Court judge in Norwalk, Conn., came after a state psychiatrist testified that Margaret Ray, 36, is unable to assist in her own defense. The judge committed Ray to a mental hospital for up to 18 months. She had been in prison under $5,000 bail since her arrest in February.
