Covina : 2 Laws to Keep Public Peace

To make law enforcement at fast-food restaurants easier, the City Council has passed two ordinances: one authorizing a curfew, and one allowing the city to revoke businesses licenses.
The ordinances, which will go into effect April 19, were prompted by the council’s desire to limit disruptive activities near an In-N-Out Burgers restaurant on Grand Avenue. The ordinances were adopted unanimously.
Under the curfew ordinance, it is unlawful for youths under 18 to loiter, or aimlessly drive or ride around on a public street or area after 10 p.m.
The other ordinance enables the city to revoke or modify a license if a business activity jeopardizes public peace.
