Fall From Wall Kills Solana Beach Man

A 42-year-old Solana Beach man apparently fell to his death after losing his balance on a 3-foot-high retaining wall outside a Solana Beach office building, authorities said.
Ernest Tucker of the 900 block of Highland Drive is believed to have fallen face-first off the wall shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after descending an embankment covered with ice plant, a sheriff’s spokesman said. The retaining wall is in the parking lot of the Executive Plaza Building, 225 Stevens Ave.
On Wednesday, authorities said they believe the death was accidental but it was not clear why the man fell.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives arrived after an unidentified man reported the body, which was found next to the retaining wall on the northern side of the parking lot.
