MAYORAL RACE
Mayor Tom Bradley begins his final campaigning tour today at 8:30 a.m. with a Pancake Breakfast at the Pacoima Recreation Center, followed by a morning filled with precinct walking and a sound truck motorcade starting near his Crenshaw campaign office. There will be a Fish Fry at lunchtime at the mayor’s Watts campaign office with more food at a community barbecue at 1 p.m., sponsored by the National Council of Negro Women. Football’s the game when the Los Angeles Police Department toughs it out with the New York Police Department at 3 p.m. at Wilson High School; Bradley will end the day with the Asian/Pacific Voter Rally at the Midtown Hilton. On Sunday, Bradley will attend services at Bethany Baptist Church, followed by a rally at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. On Monday, he will be at the 77th Street Los Angeles Police Station, Stevenson Branch Library, Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center (Ed Edelman Health Center) and wind up the day up at the Sherman Oaks Galleria.
CITY COUNCIL RACES
Ryan Snyder, a 5th District candidate and an urban planner, joins San Fernando Valley homeowners on Sunday at 1 p.m. to protest Los Angeles County Transportation Commission plans to put a light-rail passenger line through the San Fernando Valley. This will be held on the tracks of Chandler Boulevard, just east of Coldwater Canyon Boulevard.
Seventh District candidates will debate on KGIL radio Sunday at noon.
Bennett Kayser, 13th District candidate and former president of the Federation of Hillside and Canyon Assn., has received the endorsements of the Echo Park Renters and Homeowners Assn. and the Franklin Hills Neighborhood Watch and Residents Assn.
The Franklin Hills Residents Assn., South Los Feliz Community Assn. and the ABC Studio Adjacent Community will sponsor a 13th District candidates’ forum on Sunday at 7 p.m., Los Feliz Hills School, 4155 Russell Ave.

Candidate Ray Bishop hosts his final $12.50-per-person fund-raiser Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at the Comedy Store, 8433 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles. Bishop is sponsoring a “Get to Know Your Candidate” program at 7 p.m. Monday, followed by a free comedy show at the L.A. Cabaret Comedy Club, 17271 Ventura Blvd., Encino.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE RACE
Jeff Shane, a Beverly Hills attorney and candidate for Office No. 6, speaks today at 11:30 a.m. to part-time community college teachers in the Music Room at Los Angeles City College, 855 N. Vermont Ave. Shane will speak with senior citizens Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Fairfax Senior Citizens Center, 7929 Melrose Ave.
