Taft’s Thomas Achieves Passing Score on SAT
- Share via
Dedan Thomas, an All-City Section point guard at Taft High, learned Friday that he had scored more than 700 on his Scholastic Aptitude Test as mandated by NCAA freshman entrance requirements.
Thomas, who before his senior season signed a letter of intent to attend Nevada Las Vegas, scored less than 700 on his first attempt.
In order to be eligible next season under the NCAA’s Prop. 48, Thomas also will have to post a 2.0 grade-point average and meet core curriculum requirements.
