The University of San Diego lost to host Loyola Marymont, 7-6, in a West Coast Athletic Conference game. Chuck Graham hit his third homer and was three for five for USD (15-17-1, 1-7).

AUTO RACING

The Rodger Ward Invitational-San Diego Historic Grand Prix will begin today at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m. in the parking lot on the west side of San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium. There will be seven races daily on the 1.7-mile course. The Grand Prix will feature cars ranging from pre-World War II to those manufactured in 1972. Tickets can be purchased at the gate daily ($20 for two-day pass, $8 for Saturday, $16 for Sunday).
