La Quinta Uses 5 Homers to Win, 17-9

La Quinta High School hit five home runs Friday in a 17-9 victory over Santiago in a Garden Grove League baseball game at Santiago.
James Johnson had two home runs for the Aztecs (13-3-1, 3-1). He had three hits, four RBIs and scored four runs.
La Quinta scored 12 runs in the second inning. Brian Peters had a grand slam and Bob Heyl a three-run homer in the inning.
Heyl had four hits, five RBIs and scored three runs. Walter Dawkins had three hits, including a home run, two RBIs and scored three runs for the Aztecs.
Scott Kissell had a double and a solo home run for Santiago (4-8-1).
