Three members of the Cypress College baseball team have made verbal commitments to attend four-year colleges next fall, Cypress Coach Scott Pickler said Friday.
Pitcher Jeff Patterson has agreed to attend Arizona State, outfielder Steve Gill will attend the University of Arizona and pitcher Dennis Burbank will attend Oklahoma State.
All three plan to sign letters of intent Wednesday, the first day of the spring signing period.
Gill, from El Dorado High School, leads Cypress with nine home runs this season. Patterson, from Loara High School, is 6-1 with a 4.39 earned-run average. Burbank, who attended Valencia High School and transferred to Cypress from Pepperdine last fall, is 8-4 with a 3.06 earned-run average.
