Commercial Scene : Research Building in San Diego Purchased

A 5-year-old, 44,011-square-foot research-and-development building on a 2.73-acre site in San Diego has been sold in a $5,145,000-transaction arranged by John Burnham & Co. Commercial Real Estate.
Michael D. Coal was the seller, and Eastgate Mall Associates Ltd., with Hampton Properties Ltd. as general partner, was the buyer.
The split-level office and manufacturing building, leased to a single tenant, is at 5330 Eastgate Mall in San Diego’s Golden Triangle district.
