NATION : Teen-Ager Dies in Atrium Plunge

CHICAGO — A teen-age girl jumped to her death this morning from the upper levels of the atrium at the State of Illinois building, a state government spokesman said.
The unidentified girl, who wore a Mohawk hair style and was dressed in a punk-rock outfit, jumped from the 16th floor of the building, which features a glass-walled atrium, exposed elevator shafts, and a marble floor. A woman died last March after leaping over the railing from an upper floor of the same building.
