Chapman Names Women’s Basketball Coach

Lindsay Strothers has been hired as women’s basketball coach at Chapman College.
Strothers was an assistant coach for both the Chapman men’s and women’s teams last season. Strothers was given a one-year contract, according to athletic department sources.
The Panthers were 13-13 and finished second in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. last season under Paul Kahn, who had a part-time position. The position has been elevated to full time.
Strothers also has coached women’s basketball at St. Mary’s Academy High School in Portland, Ore., for two years and was an assistant at the school for four years. He also was a walk-on assistant at USC in 1987-88.
