A mild earthquake rattled Malibu and other coastal communities Tuesday morning but there were no reports of damage or injuries.
The 5:32 a.m. quake, which had a magnitude of 3.1, was the latest in a series of over 200 aftershocks of a 5.0 quake Jan. 18, according to Robert Finn, a spokesman at the Caltech Seismology Laboratory in Pasadena.
Sheriff’s deputies and county firefighters reported no damage or injuries following the quake, which was centered seven miles south-southeast of Malibu.
