NATION : U.S. to Release Egypt Economic Aid

WASHINGTON — The United States has decided to release $230 million in economic aid to Egypt that had been held up while the Arab government undertook bureaucratic reforms, the State Department said today.
Formal notification to Congress is expected by the end of the week. Congress can delay the resumption of aid but cannot legally block it.
