Grant 4, Monroe 3 (12 innings)--Manny Toledo singled with two out in the 12th inning to score Stanley Spancer and lift Grant in the third-place game.
Sean Goldman and Steve Pelote each had a double and triple for Grant (9-3).
Monroe (8-4) tied the score, 3-3, in the seventh on Adam Clark’s home run and Ernest Echeveste’s RBI single.
Javier Delahoya struck out 14 in nine innings but Cody Williams (2-0), who came on in relief in the 10th inning, got the win.
San Fernando 15, Poly 7--San Fernando scored three times in the bottom of the second to break a 2-2 tie and take a permanent lead in the fifth-place game. Bobby Corrales had a two-run single in the inning. Rudy Sanchez had three hits--including two doubles--and three RBIs for San Fernando.
Kennedy 5, Taft 1--Travis Bourne was three for three as the Golden Cougars (13-4) finished seventh. Mitch Cizek (5-2) pitched a complete game with two strikeouts. Danny Gugler was two for three, including a two-run single.
Cleveland 12, Venice 3--Tony Holiday pitched a complete game, striking out three and walking one as Cleveland (5-6-1) finished 11th.
Cleveland (5-6-1) led, 5-1, after three innings and scored three runs in the fourth without the aid of a hit.
Granada Hills 6, Birmingham 2--Glenn Hoppe was three for four with two doubles and two RBIs as Granada Hills (3-9) won the consolation championship.
Granada Hills pitcher Eric Clark (2-2) went the distance, striking out seven.
