Eighteen college drama students, four from UC Irvine, six from Temple University and eight from Southern Methodist University, will be showcased April 24 in Hollywood as part of a new bicoastal partnership between the theater and drama programs of the three universities. The three-way Actor Training Alliance partnership, designed to showcase the aspiring actors here and in New York, comes two years after the dissolution of the League of Professional Theater Training Schools which had presented students from a dozen prestigious university or conservatory programs in an annual showcase at Juilliard in New York. After their performance here at Stages, the actors will perform May 8 at the John Houseman Theatre in New York.
