Michael Gould, president and chief executive of Giorgio Beverly Hills, has been named to those posts of Avon’s overall retail group, which owns Parfums Stern and Giorgio Beverly Hills.
Gould’s appointment follows the decision of Michael Stern to resign at midyear as chairman and chief executive of Parfums Stern, based in New York.
Giorgio Beverly Hills, with offices in Santa Monica, makes Giorgio, the nation’s best-selling women’s fragrance, and Red. Parfums Stern’s brands include Oscar de la Renta, Perry Ellis, Valentino and Uninhibited by Cher. The two Avon subsidiaries last year had sales of more than $225 million.
