Zeddies Leads Illinois to NCAA Men’s Gym Title

LINCOLN, Neb. — David Zeddies scored 9.45 points or more in every event to lead third-ranked Illinois to its ninth NCAA men’s gymnastics team title Friday night.
The Illini totaled 283.40 points to 282.30 for defending champion Nebraska and 280.55 for Minnesota. Illinois last won a national gym title in 1958 and had been runner-up seven times, including last year to Nebraska.
