The son of Tehama County Sheriff Mike Blanusa is expected to be returned to California within a week to 10 days to face murder charges. A Canadian court has agreed to deport Rudy Mike Blanusa Jr., 35, in the slayings of brothers Gilbert Garza Flores, 26, and Joe Garza Flores, 29, whose bodies were found near Modesto in 1986. The younger Blanusa was arrested on a fugitive warrant in British Columbia in January after his case was publicized on television’s “America’s Most Wanted” program. Sheriff Blanusa told reporters he would have turned his son in if he had known where he was.
